Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be an educator to have my child at Little Wonders?
At Little Wonders, we warmly welcome applications from all families seeking a nurturing environment for their child. While we prioritize educators in our enrollment process, reflecting our commitment to support those who fuel public education in Nashville, we also extend our embrace to our community families.
Do you have a long waiting list?
As a newer center, our waiting list is shorter than most, presenting a unique opportunity for families seeking immediate care for toddlers (ages 1 & 2) and preschoolers. While our infant waitlist remains healthy, we encourage all families to apply – especially educators, who receive priority consideration in our enrollment process.
We're excited to welcome new families to our vibrant community. Don't hesitate to reach out and start the enrollment process today!
When will I be notified about admissions?
Annual admissions decisions for our July start date are sent out in early April. Families seeking immediate openings will be processed promptly as applications are received.
At Little Wonders, we understand the importance of timely communication and strive to make the enrollment process as smooth as possible for all families. Whether you're planning for the upcoming school year or in need of immediate care, we appreciate your consideration of our program.
Are meals served and included in tuition costs?
At this time, we do not provide food services at Little Wonders ELC. Families are required to send in all food and drink for their child each day, ensuring personalized care and catering to individual preferences.
For toddlers and preschoolers, our semi-structured day includes designated time for morning snack, lunchtime, and afternoon snack in the classroom.
Additionally, we understand the importance of accommodating infants' unique feeding schedules. We follow each infant's individual feeding plan, providing the attentive care and support they need during this crucial stage of development.
Does Little Wonders operate on an academic calendar year?
We provide year-round care, ensuring continuity and support for your child throughout the seasons. While we cherish the opportunity to nurture young minds every day, we do observe some closures for holidays and professional development.
Quarterly, we set aside dedicated time for professional development (PD) days to equip our educators with the latest tools and techniques, ensuring they are fully prepared to meet the evolving needs of your child(ren). We strive to align these PD days with district breaks (ie: fall/spring break) to minimize disruption to your schedule.
In June, we offer an enriching summer program for families seeking continued care. However, we understand that not all families require summer care. Educator families may opt out of the summer program to save on tuition fees, without jeopardizing their child's spot for the upcoming school year.
See the current calendar for more details.
"Little Wonders has been more than just a care facility for my daughter. In just a few months, they have become family. Right from the beginning everyone has provided me with a sense of relief leaving my little on in their care. I was worried that my daughter, who has some developmental delays, may be too much for the Little Wonders staff but they have made every accommodation to make sure she is well cared for. When other centers turned us away, Little Wonders welcomed us with open arms. My child has been flourishing because of the amazing people. We love Little Wonders."
